We are a Church of England school and we follow the Surrey 2023 agreed syllabus for RE in line with Guildford Diocesan expectations.

As a church school, Religious Education is regarded as a core subject. Religious Education is taught weekly; the curriculum is predominantly Christian, with units on Judaism and Islam. We also celebrate other religious festivals and celebrations throughout the calendar year.

The teaching of Religious Education may include aspects of other curriculum areas, including English, Art, Music, Dance or Drama.  Children are encouraged to think and reflect and  learn about religion and learn from religion, irrespective of our own faith or belief.

Parents have the right to withdraw their child from RE lessons; any request for this must be put in writing to the Headteacher.
